    The Committee on Banking and Insurance moves to amend the bill on page 1, line 10, by striking the title of the bill and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

“A BILL to amend and reenact §46A-2-106 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended; relating to notice of a consumer’s right to cure a default upon a consumer credit transaction; modifying the time period in which the default may be cured after the notice is sent; requiring certification that the amount needed to cure the default reflected in the notice is a true and accurate balance of all sums due from the borrower and the date that the notice was mailed; providing a specific affirmative defense to the creditor for a violation of the notice requirements in certain instances.
